Diane Tuiofu graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University with a Bachelor of Music Degree. Diane also studied Piano with Dr. Lambert at San Diego State University, and Choral Music with Dr. Richard Chagnon at San Diego Mesa College. Diane has been teaching piano throughout the San Diego area for over 35 years, as well as virtual lessons in and out of state. She has tutored students in Music Theory, and offers composition lessons to those who express an interest. Her studio includes students of all ages and focuses on instilling a love of music, while advancing musical achievement in practice and performance skills, technic, sight reading, theory, and musicianship. Diane is an active member of the Music Teachers Association of California, and encourages her students to participate in piano festivals, recitals, Certificate of Merit, and sharing their gifts of music in the community. Several of her students have been accepted into music programs at universities throughout the country including Brigham Young University, California Polytechnic State University, San Diego State University, and San Diego Mesa College. Along with teaching piano and composition lessons, Diane uses her musical skills to serve in her community accompanying soloists and choirs, and is the organist for her church. She has created this music and art website where she offers her sacred and secular music compositions, performance videos, listening links, outstanding art, as well as uplifting and inspiring messages of hope. Diane is a published composer whose music is available for purchase at Sheet Music Plus, and Sheet Music Direct.
Teaching Info
Are you interested in piano or composition lessons? I would love to meet with you and answer any questions you may have about lessons. I always interview potential students to make sure the student is a good match and feels comfortable studying piano with me. I do not offer a trial lesson as I prefer to assess a new student over the first month to ensure they will make positive musical progress. Please use the form below to contact me about your interest in piano lessons. There is no cost for interviews. My Piano Policy is below the contact information form.
If you would like to observe a student’s lesson or attend a recital to get a feel for how my studio works, please email me for the information on dates/times.
